Male sable, Beau. SOLD
Male sable, Tip. SOLD
I promised my daughter Casi that she
could name him. She named him Dillon. Dillon is a lake that we visit every
summer near Keystone in the Rocky Mountains. It is one of our favorite places
and she has always wanted a dog to hike with us so that is how she came up with
that name.
I think the kids have worn the poor lil guy out. We play outside a lot. This
weekend was a warm weekend so we were outside most of the day. Poor Dillon just
came up next to me while I was talking to a neighbor and just fell asleep on my
feet. He was so tired from playing with the kids. He played with our neighbors
dog too. They got along very well. He's been great!
Male tri, Jack. SOLD

Tue, 16 Mar 2004: Jack (someday to be
known as Ol' Jack) is quite possibly the finest ES puppy the world has ever
known. We are so pleased with him over the few days we have had him in our
family. When he is following me around while I do chores, he's not just hanging
out with me. He's watching and you can see him learning, ok, this is this and
that is that. His is good around the horses, not too close but not holding back
too far. He is more forthcoming than the cats are as yet in that relationship.
Chain saws are a curiosity to him. Doesn't just go hide under the truck. Jack
helped me cut fire wood. He didn't know what to make of that chain saw but he
hung around. Yes, I kept him back. Some dogs have been known to attack a running
chain saw. And when I was loading the split wood into the truck he watched and
followed, looking at me, back and forth and then picked up a little stick and
carried it over by the truck. I loaded it. He couldn't be that precocious, could
he? He's only 10 weeks old! He does a
whole
lot of sleeping.
Mon, 29 Mar 2004: We have had Jack one week now and he is so adorable. He is quiet, smart, and playful. He loves playing in the watercress in the spring, taking farm walks, and is trying to make friends with the cats. Jack tries to help whatever we are doing, digging, cutting firewood, carrying things, or leading the horses. This morning Jack helped us plant rose bushes. The dogwood started blooming last week, and the first redbuds are blooming today.
